Trupa britanica Take That, recent reunită, ar putea cânta în deschiderea Jocurilor Olimpice din 2012 de la Londra, relatează presa britanică, citată de contactmusic.com.
Potrivit presei din Marea Britanie, imediat după apariţia zvonurilor despre reunirea celor cinci artişti, Robbie Williams, Gary Barlow, Mark Owen, Howard Donald şi Jason Orange, Comitetul Olimpic a adăugat trupa pe lista de artişti luaţi în calcul pentru ceremonia de deschidere a Jocurilor Olimpice.
Odata cu anunţul oficial al reunirii Take That, membrii trupei au fost convocaţi la discuţii informale în vederea unei eventuale deschideri a ceremoniei din 2012.
Pe 15 iulie, Robbie Williams a anunţat că se alătură din nou trupei Take That, pentru a lansa un nou album. Trupa s-a despărţit iniţial în 1996, iar Williams şi-a continuat cariera solo. În formula fără Robbie Williams, Take That s-a reunit încă din 2005.
